The California-based software company releases the latest version of its GIS-enabled workflow application

Laguna Hills, California | February 2017: Spatial Wave Inc. announced the launch of Field Mapplet Verison 8.2, the most current release of the software company’s GIS-enabled mobile solution for managing utility assets and workflows. Designed to span both the office and field, Field Mapplet is designed as a solution for all proactive and reactive maintenance by automating workflows that include underground service alerts, customer service requests, periodic maintenance activities, inspections and redlining.

Aside from general maintenance supporting recent Microsoft Windows and SQL Server updates, the upgrade offers support for a newly improved map display. The Mobile and Console Client offers water leak isolation and shutdown reports, as well as an efficient user interface for supervisors to schedule and manage their workflows. Improved GPS tracking was implemented in Mobile to provide more accurate and reliable locating functions. In addition, a new installation and upgrade scheme has become available to simplify future releases and product upgrades for customers with large installations.

The new installation and upgrade scheme allows for upgrading of the former release with minimal effort and downtime.
