The Location-Aware software company announces the latest release line-up of its GIS-viewer product
Laguna Hills, California | February 2017: Spatial Wave Inc. has unveiled the latest version of its Geographic Information System (GIS) viewer, Mapplet 8.2. Made to enable an enterprise to leverage their investments in a GIS system, Mapplet can draw from disparate data types and sources- whether in the form of GIS maps, tabular data, drawings and documents—and output them in a simplified, spatial perspective.
Additionally, the Mapplet product allows users of all departments – such as Customer Service, Field Operations, Engineering and Finance—to build, customize and deploy analytic maps, configure ad hoc views suited for an array of needs and user groups, further enabling entire organizations to gain rapid insights on all aspects of their systems and operations.
Upgrades to Mapplet 8.2 include comprehensive support for real-time display of SCADA information (including display of dynamic SCADA symbology), time-aware data display and analytics, comprehensive support for URL-based APIs, improved water leak Isolation Tracing and HTML5-based Map Annotation support.
Also included is the display of map services from many commercially-available servers—including Esri®ArcGIS® .Other noteworthy enhancements include support for submitting annotated maps to MapLibrary and geocoding lookup improvements to limit searches to areas of interest. The release offers support for latest Microsoft Windows as well as SQL Server versions.
